McCartney. Musical Genius

Posting this video in observance of 50th anniversary of Revolver album release. No one has ever written better love songs than Lennon and McCartney. This song for instance is beautiful and so poignant. It expresses exactly what we feel when experiencing unrequited love, or even unrequited like for that matter. The Beatles songs have certainly stood the test of time. I like Lennon best b/c I identify with his dark side, but when McCartney was on he was as good as anyone. In this video I guess he could just hear a French Horn playing in his head.

McCartney was sweet and sentimental while Lennon was edgy and troubled. McCartney married sexy blondes who were gorgeous and nice whereas Lennon married.....uh....

HE MARRIED YOKO ONO!!!

OMG!!!!

(McCartney is a genius and hears the melodies in his dreams and then replicates them after he wakes up)

HERE, THERE, AND EVERYWHERE on that album was said by Lennon to be the best song on it and I agree.
I recall Lennon saying Here There and Everywhere was some of best Beatles music.
But look at some the other songs on Revolver: Eleanor Rigby,. Good Day Sunshine, Got to Get You Into My Life, and the highly experimental Tomorrow Never Knows. The Beatles introduced many, many innovations and were putting out 3-4 albums a year all with a different sound in their prime. They have yet to have an equal or even a distant second. IMHO.
And as to the Yoko thing. Yeah, hard to understand as he could have had almost any girl in the world at the time he met Ono. I'm sure he partied with an uncountable number of super hot chicks and some how felt like he found a soul mate in Yoko. Probably some psychologist has put out a book trying to explain that pairing. Bottom line though, they loved each other.

Great post. Beatles I agree are bar far the best band of all time with the Stones a distant 2nd. I've seen McCartney 4 times, the 1st on the "Wings over America tour" in 76, which remains the best concert I've ever seen.
I am not for sure who is the greatest band ever, but The Beatles changed music forever. I do not know anyother band that can make that statement.
JET! oooohhhhooooohhhhhooooooohhhhh ooohh
