Biden says inflation temporary; Fed should do what it deems necessary for recovery....
Temporary?
IMO:
Clueless. 16 months of pentup demand, large amounts of federal "stimulus", and manufacturing 6 to 8 months in the hole.
So let's define temporary, will you please Joey?
IMO, at least a few yrs of high inflation. Not a few months.
My clients saw this in raw metals last summer (yes a year ago) and we're looking at scalding hot pricing for December 21 delivery. So a year and a half so far in the manufacturing world. Of course we're passing it on. And clients are just happy we're accepting orders.
Ok, so clueless Zombiden passes the buck and tells Powell to do whatever necessary. Ha and Duh.
Of course manufacturing is going to go through the roof. Simple pent up demand, and as long as manufacturers can get a very nice sales price, yup, production.
Two of my clients have added a variable 2nd shift. Bonus pay for transfers.
Variable 2nd shift???? Wtf?
Temporary jobs for family of existing employees. It works.
