Phases of the Hobby....

As we gain our experience in this hobby world….. do you find your taste changes?

It seems so many things are quite different than … the past 5 years in this industry.

How cautious are you now?
* Do you rely more on regulars?
* Are you more inquisitive of who you see?
* Do you select a certain type of provider than in the past?

My approach to screening and such have definitely become more serious.
The experiences I choose to encounter are a bit more scrutinized.

There seems to be so many more "skeptical" folks who participate in the hobby THAN USED TO BE.
I miss ASPD.

Curious of those who feel this way as well…..

I think a lot of the changes in recent years has less to do with experience in the hobby world and a lot to do with the changes in the laws, which led to changes with a lot of the hobby boards.



That-- plus I found that the closer I get to the "end" of my hobby career-- the more risk averse I become. I haven't seen anyone who isn't a repeat client since about 2017.

Not much change - my hobby style has always been a few regulars that I seem to connect with. (translation, they put up with me)

Caution has always been part of my world, I don't go to shady no-tells, I don't knowingly deal with people who indulge in illicit stuff, I don't knowingly see women who are pimped, and if possible I only see women who have established themselves either thru 411 or trusted refs.

I've been relying on my P411 Okays for quite a while...except that over the last couple of years, half of them have left the hobby...And...there a few to no new providers stepping up to take their place.

Sites like RR and OH2 seem to accommodate the "Provider Du Jour" but no lasting replacements on P411.

Could it be that the unintended consequence of this "do gooder" legislation will be to chase the hobby off of the web and back to the streets?...or pimps...or worse?

The phases of my hobby experience since my first hobby experience, aka, contacting a provider for a paid service that entailed me getting a nut:

Strip clubs

Calling escort services in the YP then the backpage of the Dallas Observer.

Backpage online, a provider told me about ASPD

Using ASPD, then Eccie and OH2

Getting the cold shoulder from the dick clique and staff members because I would not comply to the king pimp (still active today), then from providers that believed their misinformation and lies. After convincing many providers I was a good guy, then started getting over 120+ OKs on p411.

Found a handful of providers (after all those "blow up doll" like sessions from the passionless providers that I wished would have listened to the dick posse), who are in my regular rotation.

Then I realized that since there are lots of gullible providers that believe anything a posse member tells them without question, I did a full circle back to the strip clubs, VIP memberships and lots of OTC action and then SB/SD sites, finding a few regulars from there too, where there is no clock watching and no dick clique "annonymous" text/emailing those ladies.

Extremely satisfied the cyberbullies/trolls have gone away with their tail between their legs as they were unsuccessful in making me go away.

Currently, thriving in the hobby!

I have been hobbying on and off for 10 years. My taste definitely has changed and I have become much more selective in who I see. One thing I have learned is experience helps a lot and I have learned to go with my gut. It has gotten me out of a lot of sketchy situations and kept me safe thus far. I think it has made me more overly cautious.

I am the type that prefers to be with one or two providers regularly and enjoy creating a bond with them rather than see it as a business transaction. I still keep in touch with the providers I saw most often though many have moved away. I don't want to see anyone that has a high volume of clients because my schedule is often very busy and they cannot be as accommodating.

I also tend to vet the people I see beforehand more thoroughly for my safety. I think its important for both sides to do it. With experience it is easier to shift through the BS and tell who wants to rip you off. I want to enjoy my time and with people that will enjoy it with me.

In addition ... since Backpage shut down and Craigslist took their "personals" Ads offline .... We gals get more inquiries from dudes that don't meet standard ... are timewasters, or just flat out losers.

They expect unsanitary services and obviously have little respect for the profession.

So yes, definitely check references more carefully.
Providers give much more info about a client than used to be required.
We just have to go an extra mile to make sure we are safe.

I'm sticking with regulars as too many of the new girls on the scene cancel and or ghost their customers.

I know the girls complain of time wasters but girls who schedule and cancel or keep you waiting 30 minutes after scheduled time make allot of guys take a time-out from the hobby.

Anyone that chooses to hobby should be able to gather as much info on a potential suitor BCD when seeing that person BCD. That includes being able to talk with that person via PM and/or the telephone. Make sure that when you check references, go with the ones that have been with that person BCD as opposed to believing the ones that have not, especially anonymous emails or texts from a spoof number with no credible evidence to support it.

Providers tend to say that hobbyists are wasting her time by engaging them in conversation before setting an appointment, but the fact is, if providers would be truthful in their ads and guys would be truthful in their reviews, then it would be a no brainer to set set an appointment and not have to seek further intel. Any provider that has a problem with being contacted or gives the "I go with the flow" answer, then she has something to hide.
