Inside The Loop vs. Outside The Loop

So, I'm wondering this as I know I will need to know this information in order to accurately describe the location of my incall while in town.

When Houstonians say "inside the loop" and "outside the loop" what do you mean? Because when I look at a map of Houston, there are 2 loops. A small one and a large one.

Which of these 2 do these terms describe? Does "inside the loop" refer to inside the big loop and also containing the area within the little loop?

Please excuse my utter ig-no-rintz LOL and thanks in advance!

The loop is 610.

Loop 610. The outer loop is referred to as “the beltway.” Even further out is Grand Pakway.So inside the loop is closest to downtown.
Outside the loop is between 610 and beltway 8.

The Beltway (BW8) and the Grand Parkway (SH99) were both built long after the 610 Loop. Sprawling Houston just keeps adding rings to the traffic tree.

what do you call inside 1960/highway 6? does it have a name anyone know?

"The Loop" is usually considered to be Interstate Loop 610 . . .thqats the inner loop you see.

The outer loop you see is called Belt way 8 or The Sam Houston Toll way.

the boondocks loop is 1960=Highway 6.

btw, roads in houston always have 6 names, just fyi..

I use my hand to wipe my arse(it's a cultural thing), don't believe in toilet paper or wipes.. Also have black towels on hand, cause I'll leave skid marks for days..
