Do most providers prefer hobbyists to shower before beginning session?

No, please come to see me after running around in the Texas heat without deoderant. Throw in a few cigarettes on the way to the house, and make sure you haven't changed your underwear in a couple days either.

The other day a gentleman said "No, I just took a shower before driving here". I was slightly embarrassed because I wasn't insinuating he needed a shower at all!

If you WANT to take a shower, it is certainly available but I have no preference one way or the other...REALLY!

I have only once needed to take a shower as I usually take one just before seeing a therapist. However, the best offer I ever had was, that she take a shower with me and it wasnt on the clock. That made my month.
