Ashley Madison (Sp?)

I never watch the news, but did any of you see the guy (yep, it's a guy ) to started the Ashley Madison website on Nightline last night?

He and his wife were on there promoting the site. Te story was actually about how women are cheating more nowadays. But I guess they didn't want to hype CL, they decided to go with AM.

25M members and the guy is (allegedly) clearing $40M a month.
he has been on lots of talk shows and national news shows over the years. this site has been around for quite a few years ago. there have been a number of threads discussing the site. like all of the hookup sites, there are lots of sugar babies, strippers, escorts, fake accounts, guys pretending to be girls, etc. lots of pay for play and pay to view on the site

a few guys here have mentioned theu have had some luck on the site. but it's a lot of work and potentially a lot of money and wasted time to get lucky there.

clearly some people find it usefull and use it alot as the site continues to grow year after year. maybe in this area because other options are so plentiful it's less useful.

I have seen lots of providers on there. I have met a few women on that site but nothing ever developed that made it worth my time
Yea, that seems like a lot of work when you can drop $-$$$ and meet a lady and be done with it.

I've had some luck on there, that and adult friend finder. But agree it's a lot of work.
Lots of allegations that many of the female profiles are decoys.

If you want to have an affair. I suggest the old fashioned way. Pick up a chick you like in person.
Way too expensive for the amount of action and too much time spent. Tried it couple of times, seemed too many chicks who are into games and some from of the ladies here can be seen there too obviously:-)

Doesn't it cost money to do little things like sending messages??

I'd be broke before I got any appointments set up.

Yes, that's one way they make money. You pay to send all but the most basic messages

I haven't read thru all the previous threads, so I may not be offering anything new here, but I actually spent a bit of time there. I figured I'd give it a shot for the same reason that I am here. I can "hook up" on my own, but "the hobby," and Ashley Madison (in theory), strip clubs, etc, kind of keeps the dirt a little more compartmentalized. Or maybe just in my own mind I really have the biggest problem not banging girls I work with and/or my SO's friends. That tends to really create problems in your life LOL.

It's a great business for the owners, though, and I don't doubt for a second that they are making a killing on it. They DO nickel and dime you on everything. There's fees for sending/receiving messages, chatting (at a rate that no one in their right mind would find reasonable), and then they also offer a monthly plan, which they promise will keep you at/closer to the top of the search page. You can also 'improve your likelihood of success' in some manner by sending "gifts".....like, literally .gif images of a heart, or teddy bear, or some other nonsense LOL, which obviously costs. I think they said that might also keep you towards the top of the search list as well.

It is also certainly true that there are fake profiles. I can't remember where I read it, but it either came up in a lawsuit, or some other way. And, it must have either been of little or no consequence, because it seemed pretty clear after about a week that there are more fake profiles than you'd think they could legally get away with. It was actually pretty amazing. Like, I would seriously question about 30% or more....minimum.

As far as revenue is concerned, it's basically set up so that the women don't have to spend money. Naturally, right? I don't know how many "collect" (just like a collect call) messages I've received from women. Now, there are some who are "mongers", and who probably do have "membership status", but for the most part, they don't have to. Once someone makes and pays for the initial contact it's free going forward. Obviously that's going to be the guys, most of the time, and you'd be surprised how quickly it adds up while you're sifting through all the BS.

Ultimately, the only girls there who are real are either ugly as shit (and I'm sorry but LOL @ when they also have the most attitude-laden profiles ever, talking about how they want a sugar daddy!!), complete time-wasters, or good looking women who find what they are looking for and are gone in the first day or so.

In sum, LOL @ the whole damn thing. Most everyone who's tried it is obviously still here, and it's true that you'd save yourself a lot of time and headache by just going over to the provider ads/specials section
Debrief from a friend who used AM when traveling for business: A time suck but it can work. Spent no money on website, waded through hundreds of poser ads from providers and GPS girls wanting a SD.

First connection met in a hotel bar. Wife, unhappy but won't leave because of kids, 25 pounds heavier than picture, small talk for two hours. She was slamming liquid courage the whole time. Fucked her in the ass in his hotel room. Total outlay $40 for drinks.
I have heard some good things about AM
from a woman's standPoint, its a gold mine. they claim 10 to 1 ratio. more likely 50 to 1. or higher. I once created a female profile to test things. use the pictures of Playboy model. had over 300 responses in the first day. no one questioned the photos.

it's a numbers game. if you have reasonable texting skills, and plenty of money, it can work. they offered a guarantee of an affair if you followed certain rules. basically it was you had to send X number of messages a day and if you did they promised you would have an affair. the cost for the guaranteed was around $250.

anyone can get lucky. but for a guy to post a profile and think women are going to start contacting hI'm , then he's just dreaming.

in about a year, I met face to face three women from there. had sex with two of them but had to pay one.
That's just too much work. I'm too busy for all that shit. I'd rather just skip the bullshit and pick a lady that I KNOW is hot and does what I like (see the handle) and go on about my fuckin business.
