Working in Alaska?

When does it stop snowing in Alaska?

I'm planning a tentative trip to Alaska this summer and I would love some advice on when in the season to go and well, some of the dirt on working there.

Has anyone here visited Alaska and saw a working girl there?

I'm wondering where in the state would be the best place to land and then, to work. Or travel to different parts to work.

I could ask in the ladies section but I would prefer to hear from the guys as well with the hope that some of you have been naughty while visiting.

Any hints would be appreciated!!! I've never been there before but have wanted to go there for a long time.

elisabeth, i wish i could provide you some info but never been there much less visited escorts up there. the only two people i know who moved to alaska were

* my first very serious girlfriend. she moved to valdez after losing everything in e. texas - her marriage [i didnt break it up], house, horse, job, trust in her "friends". when she told me she was going to move, i told her "i enjoy being with you and love you a lot. but, i'm not about to tell you to stay for us. you do what you need to do." she did and quit hearing from her after a year or so.

* a provider who introduced me into the world of blindfolds, restraints, floggers, whips, ball gags [she was the submissive, not me]. she moved cos her boyfriend got a job running a guide boat for hire in the southern part near ketchikan and juneau. she has left the providing world. still hear from her after 2 yrs.

just hope that none of my current favorite providers move there. if so, i'll start believing that they think alaska is warmer than my cold good-for-nothing heart. wait - i thought we werent supposed to fall in love in this sub-culture. [all a joke, folks].

I was in Alaska May 20-29th this year (2010) and found the weather to be quite nice. Of course, my family and friends claim that, temperature wise, that I must be a polar bear because I like it cold, and never wear a jacket. But, back to the topic at hand, the weather when I was there was in the mid 60's and 70's and sunny. The locals stated, however, that was the first time the sun had been seen in weeks!

My suggestion as to schedule is to look at what time frame the cruises run, as they will be in the most hospitable, money making environment. As to best location, I haven't a clue.

I have been to Alaska several times, in several areas, and have never seen any obvious providers. I know that there is a lot of that kind of work near the mines, but that is a rough scene to try to make it in. You have to remember that all of Alaska is still very small and rural. The best I can tell is that the hobby is extremely UTR. Anchorage should be your first option. Nice city, lots to see and do, more people. Fairbanks is a good option too. Not as much to see, but it's central to almost all of the mining, and oil facilities. There are also two moderate sized military bases, so there should be plenty of men needing company. Just do your homework before you go. As far as weather goes, May to July is the best time of year to go. Also remember that during the summer it's almost always daylight. It takes some getting used to. I think it's worth the effort, you might have some luck, I know I could never find anyone to spend any time with, and I looked everywhere.

Two last things to remember, first, the further out you go, the harder it's going to be for you. Wasilla, Valdez, and Nome. I wouldn't, stick to Anchorage, Fairbanks, or Juneau.
Second, DO NOT FLY ALASKAN AIRLINES!!!!! You will regret it, horrible service, and they will most likely loose your bags. I have flown hundreds of times a year, the only time I ever had any bags lost was the few times I flew Alaskan.

Summer of 2011. Might meet a friend there and work for a little bit. Also see the state. Although I've done a lot of travel (not nearly enough, though) in other countries, I've seen little of the United States.

Also, this area sounds primitive, in some ways. I would add something sexual to this statement but it's early and words are failing me!

I'm guessing that it might have something to do with accommodations? Or food? Transportation? Roaming wildlife? (Roaming wildlife. Must be a joke in there somewhere!)

I have family there and the only time I visit is in July. I don't do cold well.....brrrr It's beautiful country and you'll enjoy the scenery. It's freaky to have so much daylight though, and I had a hard time sleeping.

With that being said, how is it "different"? I keep hearing that it's just different in some ways and even another guy who responded said that.

I've heard it's beautiful, though. I'm sure that the daylight would be a little hard to get used to but I would be there a short time. Maybe a few weeks or less, really.

Best times to go are July and August.
The sun does stay up until about 10:30 at night during the summer.
You'll meet quite a few relocated Texans in Anchorage.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been.Wildlife galore and I strongly suggest you try your hand at salmon fishing while you're there.

Was it Northern Exposure?

Something I noticed is that they have coffee stands like we have snow cone stands. And they have better coffee flavors than even some of the more popular coffee places here.

Some of the things I have done while there was go to a reindeer farm, ride the train through Denali Park from Wasilla to Fairbanks, rode the Discovery boat. Went to the"North Pole" and even met a fella who had legally changed his name to "Santa Claus". He looked like what one might consider the "real deal". I've also gone down to the Kenai Peninsula. They had fishing boats and we watched as the men cleaned their catch and got them ready for market. We went into a saloon/bar and played some pool. They had dollar bills hanging from all the walls with people's names and where they were visiting from. There's lots of touristy stuff to do, but in my experience, most of the locals are in some type of oil field related business or tourist industry. We went to the Great Alaskan Bush Company. It was OK. but what we have here is much better IMO.

I did a search and several escort agencies appear. I wouldn't even know where the independent's would advertise though. Best of Luck and let us know how it goes.
