Are all these cities(BR, NO, Lafayette...) close together for hobbyists?

BR is in the middle and NO and Lafayette are an hour to an hour and a half in either direction from BR.
Coming from Texas on I-10 East you will first come to Lafayette then in 45mins you will reach Baton Rouge then about an 1hr you will reach New Orleans.
you know there are these things we call "Maps."

Each city is big enough to handle their fair share of business. Depending on scheduling, a hobbyist may travel from NOLA to BR or vice versa or from Lafayette to BR or vice versa but that's not the norm. You won't get a bunch of guys going from one city to another.
