Hong Kong open but not taking customers

I went to Hong Kong spa last night and was met at the door by April who told me they were unavailable, but there sign was on. No other cars in the parking lot front or back, didn't seem busy, but felt strange. I've been asked to come back or wait a few times, but never turned down with the open sign on, and on after I left. Anyone else have a similar experience?
