YR the "IDEA" you spoke of...BRILLIANT!!
You got the room in your cave YR??
This is an small excerpt from the article on WAPO:

An Obama-era Department of Homeland Security chief is warning Democratic presidential candidates to cool their push to decriminalize illegal border crossings, saying such a move would be tantamount to “open borders” policy and lead to hundreds of thousands more people flooding into the U.S. every month.

“That is tantamount to declaring publicly that we have open borders,” Jeh Johnson told The Washington Post.

“That is unworkable, unwise and does not have the support of a majority of American people or the Congress, and if we had such a policy, instead of 100,000 apprehensions a month, it will be multiples of that,” he said.

These fuckers are their own worse enemy...and I'm loving it!!
Who you picking again in 2020 YR...were listening.
P.S. SPEED is this the "move" to the left you seem so pumped up on...DO TELL!!

WOW! Just simmer down now! You do know that 45 and his department of state and not any Obama Era official is currently responsible and accountable for US foreign policy. Furthermore, the border crossings were in a state of decline until 45 took office. Comprehensive immigration policy and law reform are needed. However, the current "crisis" along the Southern border of the US is a human mishap and the undesirable consequences of 45's compaign promises and immigration policies. Many of 45's proposed immigration initiatives have been deemed unconstitutional by the federal courts. Moreover, installing a white nationalist as the architect of US immigration was not a smart move if 45 and his strategic planners are truly interested in effective immigration reform. A more viable and cost effective approach would be for 45 to just stop tweeting and bring an end to American interference in the internal affairs of other sovereign nations around the globe. Second, "working with" rather than against trading partners to create economic opportunities in regions impacted by proxy wars and social disorganization including the Southern border region of the US. Next, consider that emotionally derived policies and laws are rarely efficient or cost effective and usually produce undesirable outcomes. You know like installing policies that increase apprehensions along the Southern border region without first increasing the supporting infrastructure.

You do know that immigration law is the province of Congress - and the house DPST's are flagrantly blocking any constructive legislation addressing the issue - so they can blame trump and benefit in 2020 elections.

Keep on keeping on DPST's and candidates - I love to hear you propose open borders to all comers.

See how that fare2 in Nov 2020

What Authority Does the U.S. Constitution Give the Federal Government Regarding Immigration?

A – The word “immigration” does not appear in the U.S. Constitution or any of its Amendments. Article I, Section 8, Clause 4 does read, “… To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization, …”. The 14th Amendment, Section 1 addresses the protection of “All persons born or naturalized in the United States,…” which extended citizenship through the States to the former slaves. The rules of immigration were reserved to the States through the 10th Amendment until the first Federal law was enacted in 1875. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled the following year that immigration regulation was an exclusive Federal responsibility. Congress established the Immigration Service in 1891, which was the first time the Federal government took an active role. Congress enacted additional quota systems after World War I in the years 1921 and 1924. The laws remained largely unchanged until the passage of the “The Immigration and Nationality Act Amendments of 1965.” Changes to admittance were made again in 1976 and 1978. “The Immigration Act of 1990″ added a category of admission based on diversity and increased the worldwide immigration ceiling.
Other changes came through the introduction of new categories of immigration and citizenship with the resettlement of refugees after World War II. “The Refugee Act of 1980” allowed the President the authority to admit refugees on an annual basis, in consultation with Congress in response to United Nations protocols in 1967 and 1969, derived from the 1951 United Nations Refugee Convention. This new legislation was the first time that our country used international standards and definitions for our immigration policies. “The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986” addressed unauthorized immigration creating two amnesty programs “legalizing” about 2.7 million people who illegally entered the country. Because illegal immigration remained a problem, “The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996” was passed to provide greater controls on the borders and reduced benefits. The last change occurred with “The Homeland Security Act of 2002” which now has consolidated authority for border protection, naturalization, customs and immigration.

Bring an end to interference in the internal affairs of other sovereign nations

Agreed

Stop the wasteful foreign aid - billions of dollars down rat-holes like Guatemala and Honduras with nothing to show for it except graft and corruption.

I agree with You W! - one of the smartest things you ever posted.

Problem is the DPST idiots are addicted to giving away billions of dollars in the vague hope that someone out there might someday "Like Me"!!!

Many strategic leaders in Civil Law countries tend to leverage bribes the same way multinational corperations leverage lobbyists. This trait makes corruption hard to combat.

"White nationalist" - DPST speak for KKK style racists - an example of the racism and Plantation politics of the DPST Party
One does not choose the color of one's skin - Conservatives decry racism in all its forms.

Nationalism- as has been written - I support my Nation always, and the Government when it deserves support.

My definition of a White Nationalist" - and i repudiate your attempt to tar every Conservative as a racist with this DPST terminology. It is DPST racism.
