In the Preston Royal Shopping Center, Fish City and Interabang Books were severely damaged and nearby Princi Italia sustained damage. Central Market at the corner of Preston Road and Royal Lane is closed until further notice. The Dallas-based SampleHouse & CandleShop at Preston and Royal, a family business owned by the Poole family, was completely destroyed.

In the affected areas, there are currently 100 signal lights without power, 85 signals on flash and multiple signal lights knocked down.

AVOID THOSE AREAS in the ORANGE in the MAP ON TOP of this post.

As of this writing, there are still 74,737 electricity customers without power.

NBC Dallas in trouble for not interrupting the Monday Night Football game to warn viewers about the tornado.

I doubt it would had made any difference.

There are 2 kind of people who will not be moved from their TVs:

sports fans and the morons who watch Kim Kardashian idiotic reality show.

Plus there are tornado sirens in Dallas and they were going off for hours like banshees.

People ignore them the same way they ignore a car alarm going off.

I did a little "Tornado Tourism" last evening, just as darkness was approaching.. I had a half hour to kill, and was near the area already.. lots of people doing the same, a long line of cars snaking slowly just south of Walnut Hill, just east of Marsh lane. lots of trees destroyed, but workers had done an incredible job of cutting up most of them, piling them at curbs. I was thinking the damage could have been worse, just a few damaged roofs, some blown down fences.. but then I saw the elementary school on Walnut Hill.. damn, looked like remnants from the Tet Offensive.

You are correct, rexdutchman.

Sunday night.

NBC did?

So what are the other news saying they didn't?
CG2014's Avatar
Yes, Especially Harry Hines.

A lot of good folks depend on that road, its cross streets and its side streets to earn a living.

They didn't stop the game and run the continuous coverage like others but they cut in like 2 times so its funny how the LSM goes after each other for ratings and some people believe ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
