as a veteran of the US Navy i have no issue with ADM Franchetti being CNO.

Good for her. It appears she has earned it on merit alone; and it is well deserved. That's how it should be. Unfortunately for her, she will be heavily scrutinized because of not only her gender but also because of the stumbling and bumbling corpse who appointed her and his questionable appointments in the past.
