Has the web cam star killed the sex phone industry?

In case anyone missed it I was making a play off the 80s song "Video killed the radio star". Anyways web cams are a big money maker in todays world andI would love to know what attracts men and women alike to web cam. Who are the stars and sites that people use and why? Is the phone sex still an attraction for you cuz it feels more one-on-one intimacy? Is the web cam more for you because you know what the person really looks like?
With the web cam do feel like you are exploring more of your fantasies by asking for it but still safe in your own home?
Personally I think there are more questions and answers about this subject then i can come up with. So please tell us about your favorite site, cam people, and the craziest thing you have ask for and was it done. Who was your favorite sex phone operator or a call that was fucking hot on got you off.

Personally I save my $ for what I can actually feel.
Has webcam killed phone sex? No. Many webcam models offer both services. On some sites, you can phone and cam at the same time. Some phone sex lines allow FaceTime conversations. Some sites are just for buying a girl's "phone number" and sexting her. People still want it all kinds of ways. Technology just makes a more complete picture, it doesn't make anything completely obsolete.

In my experience, there isn't *that* much crossover in hobby and webcam clients. There may be some, but it's not as common as you'd think, and the rampant whorephobia in the webcam world keeps some gals from doing both openly.

Very interesting and good point BBV. I didn't know that.
I was never into phone sex, even with someone I knew in real life, but I do enjoy webcams.

I like to meet and talk to people, but I'm not good at that in person, too shy and awkward. Webcams feel like a nice place to meet some people and chat with them using a keyboard, which I'm really good at.

It's a fun diversion and I've meet some really interesting ladies. I'm not really into the sex aspect of it, I just like hanging out with someone that plays good music, spends hours with body paint to do some amazing things, or has other fun talents.

I have had fun sexting with a past FB before we actually had sex, and after, otherwise I want to touch and feel.

The phone sex industry is alive and well. There are plenty of clients out there who are specifically into the dynamic of exploring their fantasies by way of a phone conversation.
I do think webcamming has become more popular within the past few years, as the economy fluctuates and such and women are realizing they can market themselves. I think phone sex is a bit more outdated, but I know its still thriving. I think a lot of women maybe find more success with camming as it allows men to see you as well as hear, which is obviously a bigger benefit. Just like many people feel that free online porn killed adult video store sales and etc.. it may have made an impact, but there will always be the devoted men who will always have their preferences for "hands on" porn or men still willing to pay. With as much diversity that there is in the sex industry, I think its innaccurate to say anything totally killed anything. Personally, unless it's working in conjunction with some other women, I loathe both.

So......

After 10 days with only 9 responses not your own.......

Are you realizing at all how insignificant what you have to say is and that there is not an audience for your threADs?

And this was BEFORE you demonstrated your lack of discretion and began receiving the admonition of other providers drawing attentio to all that you are not one to be trusted.
I'm sure camming is more popular, but the plethora of phone sex sites and phone sex operators out there are sustaining themselves because there is a market for phone sex.
