Just in my opinion on the whole (especially for married hobbiest) I would agree with you that a call should not beinitiated unless asked. Really for anyone, they should know to ask first, an email is just as good a courtesy.

Now for me I'm single, so when a provider calls I don't have to worry about someone searching my phone or explaining it. If she's touring my area, or trying to give me a heads up of her availiability......or a discount then I have no problem with her calling......but definitely no problem with an email.
I dont care if you have a hobby phone or not. Outright calling or even texting is a no-no. Just as I want no one calling my Ho-phone.. I dont call hobbyphones. Common sense... doesnt seem to be on everyones menu these days.

Did you have an issue? Did you indicate to those providers you see, that you don't wished to be called unless otherwise directed?

As posting *don't call, we will call you* doesn't always apply to every hobbyists.

While it should be a respectful thing for ladies to *not do*.
Many men in this hobby, welcome ladies or young girls to freely call them whenever. Some men simply want that.

So if your have a personal issue with this PUK. Make sure you address it with those providers you see.

Why are ladies calling your phone???

The only time I call is to let a man know I'm on my way or to confirm a date AFTER it has been made clear what time is ok to call. Are you telling me that there are ladies who just randomly call for chitchat/begging for a date?
I think pickupkid brought this out in the open for the newbies. The veteran providers like your selves no better. There has been lots of stupid mistakes happen lately. Everybody's been tweeting, blogging and all that bullshit. They get sloppy and lazy and that's when mistakes happen. I like emails. I'm cleaning house right now because of one of those stupid mistakes. So all you young ones, think before you pick up that piece of communications.

Stupidity has no age limit.
You need to specifically contact the lady who called you. Your issue is with her.

The girls can call and leave messages as much as they want. To minimize stupid mistakes and avoid unwanted questions or scrutiny, I have a simple, dumb (as opposed to SMART), hobby phone and keep it in a hidden place where I go when I want to hobby. I also keep the the battery separate from the phone. Stay safe, have fun...

Wow, it amazes me how people think one size fits all.

Or that only one gender has the responsibility for discretion.

If you don't want her to call, DON'T GIVE HER YOUR PHONE NUMBER!

If you give her your phone number IT SHOULD BE A SAFE PHONE, OR A GOOGLE VOICE KIND OF NUMBER YOU CAN TURN "OFF" so it doesn't ring anywhere.

If YOU have something at risk, take responsibility to protect yourself. Yes, it would be nice if someone else would protect you, but act like a grown-up and take some personal responsibility.

Its a matter of RESPECT. You do not EVER call a hobbyest unless he has given you permission for that specific day and time............Do you really want to answer your phone "Hey honey" And its his SO returning YOUR call? I think not............Not all have common sense so sometime it need to be pointed out.......IJS Have fun!!
