How can you tell how long pics or videos have been up on sites , for us dummies

There's no real easy way. At best, there is a bit of digital information contained in digital photos called EXIF (EXchangeable Image File). The problem is, EXIF info can be altered or removed all together.

You can get browser add-ons which can display EXIF info for you.

For example, I added an EXIF extension to my browser and looked around the Coed forum here. Attached is an example of what the EXIF info can contain.

One last thing. EXIF info is only as good as the device that took the photo. If the time/date isn't set correctly on the device, the EXIF info will also be incorrect.

Ohh yea, the people that take pictures with location services on.... It shows up in the picture's file.
