Thoughts and Prayers

Hey Eccie world,
I don't know if this has ever been done on this site before and I know its best not to mix personal and hobby lives, but in this case, it's worth a try. My 81 year old father fell this morning and hit his head on a curb. He's in ICU in Amarillo with what the doctors are calling a "severe brain injury". He's in an induced coma and not expected to make it thru the day! He's a tough old cuss, so I believe he'll pull thru! If you have time over the next few hours, throw up a prayer for him! I'm headed to Amarillo now and am hoping he'll be better when I arrive! Fingers crossed! Thanks in advance for all thoughts and prayers!!!

Just remember you are only half as tough as your parents are ..
They teach us our strength.. so I am sure he is one tough guy and will pull through just fine!

Thank you all for the pm's and messages. Dad showed signs of improvement thru the night by responding to touch and noise. The doctors are considering surgery today to relieve the swelling. Still very concerned at the moment! Fingers crossed that all goes well! Thanks again to all!!

I'm sorry I didn't read this sooner, but I don't go to the Sandbox as much as I used to, and I hope your father continues to get better. I will absolutely put him and your family in my prayers.

Focus on the outcome you wish to have, him well and being his tough old cuss for years to come, and put it in God's hands.

Hey Z its T, you know i love ya and care for you so so much. Sorry about your dad. I will say many prayers for him to get well. If you need anything at all please call me. You know my personal number if you need to get hold of me. Take care Sweetie.

Dad is scheduled for surgery at 3pm to relieve the swelling on his brain. It's 50/50 whether it will work or not, but the doctors say they don't have a choice. I continue to be positive that he'll be ok! He's strong as an ox for his age and in great shape so I'm hoping that helps in his hopeful recovery! Many, many thanks to all for your encouraging words!!
