Private Nurse?

I have a Colonoscopy coming up in April and while the procedure is no big deal, they require someone there with you to receive post op instructions, etc. Well, I don't have anyone. I was doing some googling on private nurses but all seem to be geared towards seniors and probably long term type contractual care. This irritates me a little that I have nobody but also in this instance, I really don't need anyone. I've done this colonoscopy procedure before and could drive home and fully psychologically functional, no problem but, as far as I can tell, there's no getting around their requirements

Can anyone think of a solution?
I have had a colonoscopy before and driving was the only issue the doctor's office cared about.

I would suggest contacting the doctor's office, and ask them if hiring a taxi would be acceptable.
Done that...not acceptable
Tell the doc to stick it up his ass.

You'd be wise to take a cab.

Check the provider ad section here. I'm sure there are few escorts who are RNs too. If insurance is paying for it, you might as well get full service.

It is not a good idea to be left totally alone after a procedure of this type. Get someone to stay with you.

Understandable procedural rule, but there are many that just can't make that happen.

However, this goes further than sex; it is about having another person (male or female) be with you in time of need.

This is about not dying alone. After surgery everyone should have another person stay with them, just in case something is needed.

After surgery one will just need someone there to help with many things for a day or two. That includes food and just a little care. Don't be alone after having your gut cut open.

I know you don't know me from Eve, but I'm fully qualified to help out after a surgery, minor or major.

Don't know if you have found an answer yet. I had the same problem a couple years ago. Mine was on Dec 30th and I had to get it in before the end of the year so that I wouldn't lose the FSA monies I had put away. I couldn't find anyone at that time of year and yes, the Dr required someone to not only drive me, but to be in the waiting room during the procedure, and sign a document saying they would stay with me until the anesthetic wore off. I called Homestead Senior Care and they charged about 50$ an hour. The Dr accepted that although when I got home felt fine and told her she didn't need to come in with me.
