It's nice here from April on. Just avoid the week of June 4th. Concurrent music festivals (CMA Fest and Bonnaroo) take up most of the hotel rooms and the rates are jacked up for those few that are left.

I came down to Knoxville before during that month but I'll be visiting Nashville this March coming up.
It'll be a first for me since I usually just do Knoxville and sometimes Memphis.

You might consider timing your visit to coincide with the NHL playoffs. The Predators are almost certain to make the playoffs this year, and there should be a decent supply of festive visiting fans during home games.
