Sushi

One of my favorite things about coming to louisianna is the Cajun food. Love it love it love it--which is why I felt bad when I decided to go out and pick up some sushi tonight. Now, I've had sushi all over the world--NYC, LA, Tokyo, Beijing, shanghai, Hong Kong, London.....
But only in Louisianna have I ever seen a fried oyster roll. How has no one else thought of this before?? I never knew before that I could combine my two favorite foods. I might need to hang around a little longer than I'd planned to

Believe it , or not.... but Tennou on the Westbank... on Manhattan, is probably the best Sushi I currently know of, in the area!!

MMMMmmmmmm!!

Hmmm, Im going up there soon, I'll have to check that out. Little Rock surprisingly has a good place called sushi Cafe that is comparable to some of the best I've had. My favorite will probably always be Hatsune in Beijing. Mmmmm, sushi memories
what is the most exotic sushi you have had?i have heard about monkey brains in japan, and fish eyes, never ate sushi on the westbank, but i will try it this weekend

theres three on the westbank.

sakura
2044 Manhattan Boulevard, Harvey

tennou
1818 Manhattan Boulevard, Harvey

fuji hana
1130 Behrman Highway, Terrytown, LA‎

lotus sushi & grill
1525 Lapalco Boulevard, Harvey, LA

if anyone been to those 4, let me know how good they are!

I'm surprised by how many sushi places there are in new orleans & metairie.
Try Horinoya on Poydras off Baronne, probably the most authentic Sushi in New Orleans. Not one of those hybrid Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Viet places that really don't excel at any particular one.

I like Tokyo on Causeway, open till Midnight too. Great atmosphere. They also have a Tempura Cheesecake that is very good.....strange but good.
