OK long story short, my dog got out and was attacked, he's got cuts, scrapes, gashes and bite marks. He's got some puss coming out of his eye and is very sore when it comes to walking.

I am looking to take him somewhere and get cleaned up in the morning and then some. any suggestions?

What side of Houston do you live on?

Try this place

http://www.snapus.org/site/PageServe...ellness_Clinic

http://www.snapus.org/site/DocServer...pdf?docID=1701

If it isn't close it might not be worth the drive. A check up is usually about 30-40 dollars. Maybe they will give him antibiotics and a hug. I hope he won.
SNAP is a good suggestion.

Banfield (in the Petsmarts) is ok about giving discounts if you sign up for one of their plans. Sometimes that can be cheaper than paying full price depending on issues at hand.

I looked at SNAP but I see they offer services at 10am but I see it as a spay and neuter place.
the petsmart route is a no go.

unfortunately, my little buddy lost this one, he's a few months away from being 12 years old, so who knows how old that is in dog years.

Look at the links I gave you. They offer wellness too.

Google "Animal Hospital" or "vet ER," Your pup may have injuries that may be beyond the scope of the local vet clinic. Good luck.

ok the second one loaded.

S.N.A.P. Wellness Clinic services are provided on a walk-in basis.
Wellness services are provided for HEALTHY ANIMALS ONLY. We are
unable to treat sick or injured animals.

You sure they will look at him? He's in really bad shape.

Check out a VCA hospital, a few are open 24/7 for this sort of thing.

Used the one in League City last month, same thing.............a dog fight, and got well taken care of.

PetCare Express is very reasonable. Office visit is like 10 dollars.... i used their Holcombe location when my dogs face got ripped open. Your dog will need antibiotics immediately. They will usually prescribe cephalexin and cipro... its the same antibiotic prescribed for people, so if you have some or know someone who does, its ok for your dog to take. The dog will also need a antibiotic shot to speed up the process. Make sure the wounds and scrapes are free of debris with peroxide. Infection sets in super fast on dogs

I have some Cipro if you need to start him on it tonight

I have some pet painkiller too. I was saving it for me when I get a little bored but you can have it. It smells like bubblegum flavor.

I was joking about taking it. I do have some though. I deprived my cat of it a few weeks ago. She was showing signs of addiction and started stealing from me.
