A judge gave Trump 30 days to pay the $454 million civil fraud judgment. He'll owe an additional $112,000 in interest each day he doesn't.

Judge Arthur Engoron finalized his judgment in Donald Trump's civil fraud trial on Friday.
Trump now must pay $454 million in fines or secure a bond within 30 days.
Trump's legal team has said they will appeal the verdict.

The countdown has officially begun for Donald Trump.

Judge Arthur Engoron, overseeing the former president's civil fraud trial, finalized his judgment in the case Friday evening, per court records — meaning Trump now has 30 days to fork over the $454 million in fines or secure a bond for the total amount, the Associated Press reported.

The amount includes a $354 million penalty plus nearly $100 million in pre-judgment interest.

A spokesperson for Attorney General Letitia James confirmed to the AP that Trump will begin accruing interest of $111,984 per day.

Per the AP, this interest amount considers both the penalty and the pre-judgment interest — not just the penalty — meaning Trump will owe more interest than the $87,502 per day previously thought.

On Thursday, Engoron rejected Trump's lawyers' attempts to delay the start of the penalty

The finalized ruling also means that Trump has 30 days to appeal the verdict, per New York law.

On February 16, the legal battle between James and Trump in Engoron's Manhattan courtroom came to an end after the New York City judge spelled out the penalties that Trump, two of his sons, and his former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg would pay for years of "inflating asset values to make more money."

"The documents prove this over and over again. This is a venial sin, not a mortal sin," Engoron, who previously doled out a pre-trial ruling in September that found Trump committed fraud for years, said in his February verdict.

Engoron continued: "Defendants did not commit murder or arson. They did not rob a bank at gunpoint. Donald Trump is not Bernard Madoff. Yet, defendants are incapable of admitting the error of their ways."

Trump and his lawyers, who spent months defending the value of the former president's businesses, called the verdict a "gross miscarriage of justice."

Trump lawyer Christopher Kise said he is preparing to appeal, per a statement to Newsweek.

"The case raises serious legal and constitutional questions regarding 'fraud' claims/findings without any actual fraud," Kise told the publication.

Representatives for James and Trump did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider.
... Judge Engoran doesn't seem to understand there was no
"error of their ways" with the Trump and banking business loans.

But was there "error of the ways" with Engoron's legal decisions?
Time will tell... And just how mouch money $$$ will his decisions
actually COST the state of New York?

... See? ... The Judge deciding "Fraud" - when ALL the people
involved in the business transactions claim that there was
No Fraud - now has them being the victims of SLANDER.
By both the Judge and Lititia James.

So no doubt the banks and the Trump Foundation will be seeking
damages against the state of New York for that.

Time for donnie the fraudulent, treasonous, rapey, criminal fuckstain to pay the piper. The longer he waits, the more he owes. And his legal woes are just getting started. Stormy hush money case up next.

I don't even care if he goes to jail, at this point. I just want him to never have another good day.

He ain't going to comply.
Court needs to start seizing assets immediately from shitler.
... Trump HAS the money $$$ and the ability to cover the judgement.

But the Trump barristers were being nice by asking for another
30 days - to give the Judge and Courts a few weeks to decide
on whether they wanna force this issue.

Because once the barristers appeal the judgement and cover the bond
- then the appeals process begins - and so does the seeking of
damages for malicious prosecution, slander and libel. "

So Salty, what you are saying is the judge is then making up his own law? No one else in the world ever got charged with that crime?

If you had a beautiful neighbor and you ended up banging her when her husband was at work and you both enjoyed it. No harm no foul correct? You liked it(Trump the defendant over inflating his property), she liked it (same as the Banks got there money that he borrowed) and her husband didn't know about it(New York State) no one's ass should be kicked(defendant Trump paying $454 Million) correct? Different scenario same principle.

When Bill Clinton got the BJ and he got impeached for it. Monica was fine with it, Bill was fine with it. So what was the Problem? He Lied under oath. 99.99% of the laws are not made to be broken.

When Trump borrowed Money off of the bank and by over inflated his property and was able to get much larger loan. He paid his loan off so the bank was fine with it. Trump was happy he made out on the deal. So what is the problem? He lied about his property valve and he broke the law. 99.99% of the laws are not made to be broken.

The other .00001% of the laws are meant to be broken, any ones that Trump is involved in. Now those can be broken.

"Donald Trump rarely responded to the questions asked, and he frequently interjected long, irrelevant speeches on issues far beyond the scope of the trial," the judge wrote. "His refusal to answer the questions directly, or in some cases, at all, severely compromised his credibility."

Not exactly conduct that inspires mercy from a judge.

When it comes to assets well over millions of dollars I am sure it would be a lot different than a $300,000 home. Trump is probably into the banks for so many millions and they would lend him money easily hoping they get all of it back. Because if he reneges they would lose millions so they take a chance and give him what he wants hoping they will end up getting it all back.

In other words the Banks ass is puckering hoping he will pay them back and they take his word for a lot of his properties. He has probably done business with them before and never ripped them off. He only does that with contractors and everyone else.
