Actually Roadman...

Our appointment was for TOMORROW morning. You only contacted me Monday with your references, so you didn't go through "days of getting screened and waiting" and you barely passed screening anyways.
YOU called me and rescheduled for today claiming you're going out of town tomorrow. I told you the truth. I had already booked my "good" sitter for Gentlefire for early today and she was no longer available. I had no choice but to contact my other sitter and, yes, she is flaky and ,in fact, just did the same thing to me on Thursday of last week.An ECCIE board member can verify that because he is the one I had to try and explain to about her not showing up then.

I talked to you at 2:40 today and our appointment wasn't until 3:30. I told you my sitter told me she was on her way and then never showed and was no longer answering her phone. I AM AT FAULT for forgetting to call you back, but in my defense I had already explained to you what was going on. Your answer was "well I don't have a plan B".Well, I'm sorry to have inconvenienced you. If you had let me know yesterday that you needed to to see me today, I could have arranged for my good sitter to come over twice. I'm low volume and rarely need her twice, so she had other plans when I called her.

It's no secret that I have children, so if you book an appointment with me and then call me to reschedule for the day before our appointment is supposed to be, I have to rearrange my entire schedule with my children and try to arrange a sitter last minute.

And BTW, as it turns out, I wouldn't even have seen you had I talked to one of your more reputable references first instead of the ones I contacted.

Happened to me w/Mia's babysitter. No problem and we got together first chance. In fact once with Mia it happened other way around: I unexpectedly had child from college show up at house with all kinds of "one thing and another" issues. Things happen be patient it'll all work out. Mia is very reliable and takes things very seriousy (which is loads of fun).

Mia,
I wish you had told me when I called that you did not have a reliable sitter. I took off work early and drove over fifty miles to see you. You made a promise to see me and you broke it without even offering an alternative. I waited around for you to call back and never did.
I am not saying your a bad person.
I just think other people should Know want happened to me.
Roadman,
You never attempted to call me back and didn't bother calling to let me know you were on your way before you left, which is the standard, normal thing to do. You also never told me where you were driving from or I would have asked that you call me before you left. Why would you NOT call someone before you left if you were driving that far??
I had no way of knowing she wouldn't be available. I contacted her as soon as I got off the phone with you this morning and she said she would let me know. She didn't call me back until 1pm, at which point I immediately contacted my other sitter.

I did forget to call you back. For that I apologize. I got busy with my kids and completely forgot. When I logged on to send you a pm to apologize, I had a pm from someone else about the review you wrote. We could have handled this in private and I would have offered to make it up to you by offering you extra time when my "good" sitter is available and it is convenient for you. You didn't even try. You immediately wrote a review without even calling me back to see what happened.
I am a reputable provider and I take my job seriously, but do occasionally make mistakes, like any normal person. I would have made it up to you, though, had you handled the situation better. You would have had a seriously incredible make-up session in store had you only waited a few hours ,at least, before making this public.

Mia,
Can I step-in and take a rain check for his "seriously incredible make-up session " sometime next week , instead?

Giz (so , so over due!!)

I called you at 2pm with no answer. Them I had to leave early to be there on time. When i called just before 3pm is when you said the sitter might show up and you would call me ether way. I waited for an hour and gave up. If you had called me back this probably would not happen.
I check with my references and nether gave me a negative reference you are alluding to.
I was very disappointed and wanted to vent.
