Places to Eat while I'm here in Austin?

This is my first trip to Austin & I'm just wondering where are some places a California girl like myself would love to eat out here?? Something that Austin is famous for....☺️😘

I do like Pho Thai Son, also Tan My off of Ohlen/183. I heard there is a good Cuban place now on North Lamar between Rundberg and Braker.
Gordoughs donuts...not just breakfast, flip happy crepes, taquerias arandas on william cannon, Dirty martins on guadalupe for a good burger, koriante on 6th and colorado for healthy chinese...best tendon in the pho is at tahnh nhi off lamar btw

Gotta go with the moist brisket. A lot of places here good enough at that to amaze.

Most ethnic food is a big meh and if you don't like texmex then you're gonna have to explore harder

Pho is common in California, so I would go for

Z-Tejas - Mexican food that will be a little different

Chuy's - good Tex-Mex, and their tortilla soup is very good - it's like Chevy's was 20 years ago - before management/owner changes wrecked it. There are several locations

Manuel's - the one on Jollyville Rd has great mole enchiladas

Hula Hut - like Chuy's but a cool location and Hawaiian motif

Rudy's - Good bbq at a reasonable price and there is one north and south. It may not be the best, but it is good and not a long drive

McCormick & Schmick's - they have those in CA, but still worth going to for seafood

Kona Grill - in the Domain - varied menu, and the pizzas there are pretty good

Mikado - sushi - or Uchi or Beluga in Wilco

Steaks - plenty of options here - III Forks, Sullivan's, Roaring Fork, Eddie V's

Burgers - HopDoddy (everything is fresh and locally produced), Casino El Camino (not fast but good), Huts

BBQ - The Salt Lick in Driftwood (a little South of Austin, they have an open pit, don't go to the one in Round Rock), La BBQ (on first street just east of I35) is my favorite BBQ place, has shorter lines than Franklin bbq.

Chuy's - for Tex Mex food, there are a couple locations

Fonda San Miguel - more like interior Mexican food, nice place, also said to have a very good brunch on weekends though I have only been there for dinner.

Trulucks - good for both steaks and seafood, a bit pricy

Breakfast - Kirby Lane or Magnolia Cafe

Trulucks also has excellent deserts.
