Any hints on fun things to do in the Gettysburg area?

I know it's a bit of a drive from Harrisburg, but I'm likely to be in Gettysburg this upcoming weekend. I know nothing of the area. Any hints on fun ways to spend my spare time? My free time would be mostly late in the evening, if that makes a difference. I really don't know anyone in the area either, and would love to make a new friend or two!
