I don't know if this definition came from someone around here or not, but I have never used the word "courtesan" in any portion of my website or to describe myself in anyway because the word has been so bastardized in this current realm of escorting.

To segue slightly,when I see yet another website of a woman featuring crude photography while stating in incomplete sentences containing misspelled words, "I'm looking for an upscale gentleman who is interested in the complete courtesan experience ..." or blah, blah, blah, I just feel a sense of yuck. I don't like it.

Who needs upscale and elegance all of the time anyway? That's great but not always necessary. Give me a slightly sweaty construction worker with a great smile, or a guy who just needs to let off a little steam and I'm content to spoil him rotten. Or let me answer the door to a regular joe who just wishes to spend some time with a smiling and willing woman who can speak in complete sentences (and also write much too long ones!) or a college student who is broke but curious who just got his tax refund and wishes to explore and each one is willing to pay for the privilege, then I'm happy. Being a courtesan has lost the meaning that it once had.
