i can not pull up my mail messages or my own profile
the little select arrow to the for right is gone.

Most site related glitches can be resolved this way:

Clear your browser, temporary internet files and cookies.
Log out of the site, power down your device for about 15 mins.
Power back up and log back into the site to see if that fixes it.
