A country's goal isn't to make a profit. A country's goal is to improve the quality of life of its citizens. This often means promoting economic growth, ensuring security, providing education and healthcare, and fostering a good quality of life. The idea is to create a stable and prosperous environment where people can thrive. Not putting profits over people.
If you want to see a country that is operated as a for-profit nation ran by the rich, look no further than China, North Korea, or commie Russia
Honestly, it's mind blowing to see people want to see the country ran worse than it is being ran. You don't understand that, unless you are already part of the rich, a for-profit country is going to be profiting off of your labor and your job. A for-profit country isn't going to even humor the idea of a basic cost of living, none the less social security. A for-profit country is going to demand that you be a productive citizen. If you are too old and too poor, retirement is out of the question. For-profit companies don't allow people to retire on their dime.
'If you want to get paid, you work. If you can't work, I hope you have money. If you don't have money, I hope you die quickly and don't rack up a high medical bill.' That's the motto of a for-profit government.
