Woodard stated on MSNBC at his morning that The Administration did exactly the correct thing in response to Assad using poison gas on his citizens.

His only dissent is, perhaps we should take out all of his air fields, basically grounding his Air Force.

The airfields could be taken out short term with minimal CD. Especially since we could tell the Russians in advance--no one is going to move the airfields.

Cluster munitions do little to take out airfields. Though they can help delay the repairs to the damage other weapons can cause.

However the point was to take out the runways without a lot of CD, and what cluster munitions are best at is causing wide spread damage--thus the treaty.
