The onion straws and the apple coleslaw are good also.

Disclaimer, I've known these folks for more than a decade, even before they opened the 1st restaurant, back in their early days of competitions.
I'm gonna jump in here on the BBQ topic. This place isn't in overland park it's worth the drive to go to Westport and check out char bar. I never see anyone mention it at all. By far the best burnt ends in the city. The ribs are excellent too. The brisket isn't as good as other places though.

FOR the community, burnt ends and BBQ are like assholes everyone has an opinion. Many good places but personal preference rules the taste judges

Maggie, they are all wrong. The best place to eat is brand new and it is in downtown Overland Park next to the Y. The food is amazing, so moist and delicious. It is finger licking good. The name of the place is called “Sense of Smell” because as soon as you go down there your senses explode from the sent. Check it out.
