Actually, I thought about that after pondering something else. hand signals only work with eye contact.
When i was trained as a sub many moons ago i was trained to not make eye contact until told. position one is the same for everyone, on the knees spread apart, hands palm up resting on each leg, head down.
Also in sub-space it gets easy to space out, I do even in the moment. so i may appear to just be going through the motions but really i am in the perfect mind set. subs tend to be subs because of where our brains go..they shut off in such a good way. Simple and basic commands work best.
