Dupont Circle or Georgetown

Ok, I grew up in DC and I have not visited in many years.

What are the advantages of staying in one place vs the other...

Dupont Circle is very easy to get to, at least in my case. It is so difficult to get to a provider when she decides to set up in Manassas, Woodbridge, Springfield, etc. Thomas Circle is a good choice as well.
