That procon timeline is awesome. I especially like the bit where Henry VIII renounces the toleration for prostitution. A fine decision made by a man who could, and apparently did, stick it in anything he wanted. It's good to be the king!
I like how the Romans had coins demonstrating what you'd get for it. It's a pity history never recalls what happened to Marcus Lacivius when his wife found some in the pockets of his toga.
I found it fascinating only because of the very proof that once upon a time we were enjoyed, respected and even admired. The mere fact that a housewife was considered unintelligent with only house based concerns is amusing, and yet a prostitute was very well learned and had such a high level of influence.... Now we are just considered stupid, messed up emotionally, and victims by the outside world. If I am a victim, please spank me again. I cant wait til people open there eyes and realize that while some of us are bad, the ladies that frequent these kinds of boards simply want to play safely. If you place a street walker beside any one of us ladies, the differences are obvious. If you visit the pro con section you will even see where they call this human trafficking. My thing is this.... I dont think any independent would ever consider herself "trafficked", and I agree whole heartedly that if they made this legal, it would be that much easier to take "trafficking" off the market. Then us ladies would be able to report people in that predicament, same with the gents without fear of retribution for what should be a kind and faultless act.
