Best place to meet new people in DC?

I'd love to find the best places to meet new people in DC.

Cigar bars, whiskey clubs, etc.

For cigar bars, Can only vouch for Shelley's Back Room. Have had a few groups there, but I'd suggest BYOS.

Upscale dinner, Old Ebbitt or The Hamilton is nice.

Generic nightlife, U Street and Adams Morgan
