Okay, Dressel made it to the finish line first.
But the 2nd place finisher actually swam faster than he did. Dressel only came out ahead because he has figured out how to jump out from the starting platform the best, which gives him the lead.
So he didn't swim faster than the 2nd place finisher. Maybe they should start the race in the pool, and get rid of the platform start.
