My SO has been working out there so I took a week myself there and we did the street market like you show, the aqaurium which was neat, downtown on the bay and wondered around the wharf, all the restuarants and also Carmel. Even in July it was cool mornings and evenings, don't know if I would live there though. I enjoy HOT when I'm on the motorcycle. The Mexican not as good as here in Texas.

Not to be argumentative but Tex-Mex is not good Mexican food, whenever I go back to Cali.,beside In-Out- Burger, I hit the local places for tasty Mexican food. JS

Monterey is a great place to spend a few days for good R&R.

Agree with KS about Tex Mex... dont get me wrong I eat Mexican 3 times a week (& I wish it was a Latina Mexican!!) But the Southern California Mexican food to me is lighter & has more of a Bolder Flavor. Kinda of like WOW that is good. Now the the Food in Baja can be damn good too.. Especially the Lobster in la bufadora near Ensenada FYI – La Bufadora means.. the Blow Hole..LOL

Use to really enjoy La Bufadora, and Puerto Nuevo those beans and tortillas were magical..........

Ah man I miss that place. I remember picking up a few nice pieces of ass on Fremont down in Seaside.
