Owning a Harley Can Be DEPRESSING!!!!

DocHolyday's Avatar
I bough a Harley a couple of months back and am going to do a lil customizing during these winter months. Granted the last Harley I had was in 2002 but DAMN!!! Harley parts have gone through the roof!!!! A set of mufflers-$450; a set of wheels-$1,100; drive sprocket-$450!!!!

I'm wondering, at these prices, if some of the ladies on tour are riding Harleys and setting their rates based on purchasing replacement parts for their bike so they can remain on tour??? If that's correct, I can more easly understand some of the ladies charging $500 an hr. and up. At these Harley parts prices, Ol' Doc may be taking a vacation from the hobby till I can get my bike back together.

Signed,
Doc Holyday, depressed at the Harley parts counter somewhere in the Texas badlands.

Try to find a mechanic that has accounts with parts dealers. They can usually get them for a discount. I'm part of car club here in El Paso that gets cheaper parts and labor for everything. Good luck in your search hun
