What happens to ECCIE when P4P is legalized?

I never thought I'd live to see it, but the rumblings for legalized recreational use of a-subject-that-can't-be-named-on-this-board are getting louder and louder, and two states may in fact be doing that soon.

Makes me wonder what happens on boards like this when play-4-pay is no longer illegal. Will it be business as usual? An influx of new hobbyists and providers? Or a mass exodus because there's no need to hide behind the veil of online forums?

Predictions?

I really don't see that (green light for Texas P4P) happening in the next decade or so.

I lived in The Netherlands for a long time and P4P is legal there. Still loads of very active boards like this there.

I am not sure if I will live to see it legal in Texas. If I do I hope it will include the following for a person to get an escort license.

1: A license to be used anywhere
2: So many std test a year with proof of the test
3: Human trafficking classes
4: If a person wanted to become an escort a training school. So the person can learn how to do this safe and professional
5: Proof of age
6: Some basic self defense classes

It would still be a very important way to communicate and exchange valuable information ...

We will still need to know what we have here and the ladies will still need to screen.

By the time Texas legalizes P4P, I'll be watching from above (I hope) and smiling down on you new senior citizens.

Be careful what you wish for
Any time something once illegal becomes legal, the first things politicians and bureaucrats try to do is heavily regulate and tax it. In Nevada here is what you get (if you want to do it legally):
Only in approved and licensed houses that are far away from any major city
Everything covered
They used to not allow Greek but that may have changed
Expensive!
On the upside:
You can openly discuss what you want.
They provide security.
Several payment options
However these upsides could all be accomplished in a legal market without regulation.

If that happens it would probably be business as usual with less censorship and expanded ad campaigns but I don't see that happening anytime soon in the Bible belt.

Will still need a way to weed out the flakes, nut jobs, stinky pussies, bad attitudes, pimps and crazy bitches. Just because its legal doesn't mean everyone will start doing things on a real business like level. 92% of the girls on backpage are on something or under someone's control, I don't see that changing much under legalization.

This is a ridiculous list (with one maybe two exceptions) but I don't have the time to address it point by point. I might later, though.

I would be in favor of decriminalization.

If there was a license involved, I would STILL be working illegally because I'm not going to have my real name associated with a license like that.

Period.

I used to be somewhat involved with sex worker activism. I am not now. The reason? The people trying to make changes to the laws are so unorganized, and no big names wish to come out in favor of something like this, that it's going to be a long day in hell before we see this being legal (or decriminalized) any time soon.

But if I'm blessed to see such a thing in my lifetime, and I don't believe that I will, then boards like this will still be very useful and valid.

Legalization would involve record keeping and that would seriously rain on the politician's parade so it's not real likely...
