Phone on or phone off?

tattooeddragon's Avatar
In my limited experiences with the hobby, I've noticed that I seem to enjoy time spent with the ladies when they either have their phone turned off, or receive no calls during our session. I completely understand the need to phone someone to let them know they are well, but actually answering a call while they are with me is a big turn off.

What are your thoughts on this subject, and the best way to approach it if a phone is ringing constantly during a session?

Big turn off is not a strong enough statement! I no longer see a young UTR lady I met through a mutual friend because she insisted on texting during the session. She has since dropped out of the business which is a good move for her. If she reappears I will make a note to all here.

Maybe I've been lucky; the one time a lady's phone went off during a session she ignored it, then she got up later during a lull in the festivities and turned the ringer off. That's the only time the issue's ever come up for me.

Unless I were warned beforehand that there was a damn good reason (e.g., sick kid or other family emergency) that required a lady to answer the phone during our session (and then I might just want to ask her to reschedule to a less inconvenient time), I wouldn't ever book another session with her if she answered the phone or texted (whiskey tango foxtrot, over?) during the session. And I'd mention it in my review.

I like to think that for the time I am seeing a provider that I am the most important thing in her life. To me that is a big part of the gfe. I can understand an emergency or a check call. But for the provider to be talking on her phone to someone else is taking up the time I've paid to spend with her and is taking away the fantasy that I am this good looking lady's boyfriend.
This is a common courtesy, I always have my phone turned on silent during a session. To be answering phone calls and texting during a session is tacky, IMHO.

We might be escorts, but we should still remain professional and treat it like a business.

I had a lady actually answer her phone while I was performing DATY on her. For some reason I lost the urge and couldn finish. Never saw her again. It happens alot.

More seriously, I am surprised-to-shocked that it happens a lot.

Maybe I have been lucky.

The minute the provider and I meet I make a big issue of turning off my cell. Most of them follow suit.

Also, as I said earlier... if a provider were to tell me up front that there was a legit reason for her to answer the phone during a session (sick kid or potential family emergency), I'd cut her some slack; I've been in that position myself.

Simple courtesy goes a long way with me.

The phone needs to be either off or muted. I'll go one step further and say that I don't even like it to be on vibrate. To me, it is equally distracting to hear a phone vibrate like crazy on a hard bedside table.

I like the idea of making a small production to mute my phone or turn it off in front of the lady. I typically mute my phone (I don't want to hear my phone vibrate either) before I get to the incall, but I think I'll start doing it when I get there.

Good posts here. I been lucky never had a phone to ring while in session.

Good thread. It works both ways. If we expect the lady to give us undivided attention, then we should do the same and turn the damn phone off too.
