What is a provider to do?

This is in response to a thread where a provider said something along the lines of:

Some of us providers don't have any other skills to warrant us a good paying job.

This has been on my mind for weeks now.

I cant speak for all when I say this but...... I am sure that a decent provider can manage to get at least one appointment a day. Even if you only make $100 a day, 5 days a week; you make $500 a week for 5 hours or less of your time. This is almost 2 times the amount someone who works 40 hours a week scrubbing toilets or worse.

The income bracket ranges from income I just mentioned, to sometimes more than some hobbyist make.

This being said. I just cant fathom one of us being that hard up for cash. If you are wise with your money.

I say since I have so much time on my hands why not use a god given skill. Use your heart, and help someone who is waaaaay worse off than you. Do some volunteer work, organize a foundation, make someones day with out just your body part. Or even better, go to school and get an education.

MAYBE KARMA WILL REWARD YOU WITH SOME MORE BUSINESS.

I should get out of here fast huh? Before some one condemns me of being a socialist.

For the most part I agree with what you are saying. Especially for the single gal with no children working their way through school ect.. However, there are some girls that have it a little more difficult. A single parent with kids and other responsibilities can make providing a little more of a struggle.

Many lovelies may have daycare, healthcare, transportation, school, inCall expenses. Just to name a few. Many of these gals don't have a support system in place to aide them in these neccessities. It's not like most gals have mom on call to watch the kids while they blow Bob down the street.
Not only will these added responsibilities gobble up allot of that $500.00 a week but due to those repsonsiblities they have less time to work and make that money.

Just my 2 cents.... don't shoot me

Jas, Keep'n cuming.... great post!
Jas, it seems like many gals on here have major money problems. "Wise with their money" Yeah. Right.
Yes Java I see where you are coming from. I think life is a struggle. I am very compassionate of people struggling. I think in some ways it could be concidered a spice of life, because the accomplishment of overcoming a struggle is, golden for lack of a better word. Most everyone struggles and many people make it (what ever that means on an individual basis). However, I do not have compassion for pity parties.

Pflugerbill in regard to your comment I agree, and know from first hand knowledge. I am not immune to poorly managing my money/time at points of my life. It's an experience I have learned from.

I probably wont make many friends with this post. And agree with the recommendation from a fellow provider who honestly put it: This thread is probably more appropriate for the women only section. However, that comment (I don't remember who wrote it or how it was exactly stated) was bugging me. I don't want to hobbyists to think providers are a certain way. I want hobbyists to know there are many providers out there that are completely capable of functioning in the civilian world, and are goal oriented. If this doesn't matter to you I completely understand; as most of us only spend hours at a time with each other. But if that comment kinda made you wonder like it did me, this post is for you.

Thats all.

It is good to spend our extra time making our life better (education) or helping others. I volunteer in several directions. I hope all do.

As for the socialist comment, you are talking about us taking care of ourselves. That is not socialist. Now if you said let's take money from Dagny and give it to the gal who isn't good with her money..... then yes I would call you socialist. LOL

I AGREE WITH YOU..........I MYSELF, DO NOT SOLELY RELY ON ECCIE FOR INCOME .......BEING A BUISNESS OWNER AND A MED STUDENT I ONLY LOOK TO ECCIE FOR EXTRA CASH AND FUN...........I NEVER WANT TO BE IN A SITUATION WHERE I AM WAITING FOR MY HOBBY PHONE TO RING TO PAY MY BILLS....... THAT WOULD TOTALLY SUCK........

I PERSONALLY THINK THAT EVERYONE TO SOME DEGREE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR WETHER OR NOT THEY STRUGGLE BY THE DESCISIONS THEY HAVE MADE IN THEIR LIFE..............I ALSO THINK THAT EVERYONE HAS THE CHOICE TO OVERCOME SUCH STRUGGLES...........THOSE THAT CHOOSE NOT TO MAKE BETTER CHOICES I DO NOT PITY YOU...........I PRAY FOR YOU................

JUST SAYING..........
Dagny, it is awesome you volunteer! I do understand the concept of socialism. I was just trying to curve any extreme backlash I might get. hehe! You have always been such a Lady. I have always adored your presence on the boards. Thank you.

Amber Sweet, "you go Med School!" Congratulations on your accomplishments.

I know there has got to be many more providers with great accomplishments that might be too modest to post here. Thanks for your reassuring comments Ladies. They help my mind rest a bit on this topic.

i do honestly feel bad for the girls, that are sitting by the phone waiting. i mean granted they can do "this" for now...but what about when those looks start to fade?
or as some are starting to feel monetarily, theres a new "flavor of the week" ...everyday theres beautiful girls popping up.

wish them the best of luck!! i never like to see anyone doing bad!!!
