Could you please tell me how a lady signs up on eccie? Someone I know would appreciate the input so she can start a showcase/profile page. Thanks.

The same way you did. Create an account.

When you go to eccie.net there's a big blue banner that says "Welcome to ECCIE - Register Today." She can click the banner and it will bring her to a rules page. Agree to the rules and the next page is the registration page to create a profile.

All of this can also be done by clicking on the sign up link on the very first line on the page -
