Provider friendly spots

Coming to Houston with a friend but we are curious, are most hotels (3 star or +) provider friendly? Looking In the medical area and galleria. Which hotels require keys to use the elevator? Any tips would help

Whenever I encounter a hotel with a key card for the elevator, I just stash a key some where and then tell the gentleman where it is upon his arrival. I've never had a problem doing that.
