I thought this would be a fun thread....

What hole in the wall place do you know of that has amazing food?

For me it's Jimmy's Market in east Dallas and there is a an AMAZING taco shack here in the Bishop Arts District.

In fact, I'm gonna throw on my dress (cause I'm naked) and go get me some tacos!

Num num!

So...what's your favorite hole in the wall food place?

Since I am new to Dallas I have no input, but I am ready to hear the best hole in the wall Mexican. Not TexMex, but Mex.

Come to the Bishop Arts District, Alyssa. The population is mostly Mexicans from Mexico and you can find some AMAZING Mexican food here. Have you tried a Torta yet?

If you like Vietnamese at all try Mai's on 4812 Bryan St #100. I've been eating there for at least my last 3 jobs, and the one I'm at now I've been here for 13 years so that'll give you an idea how long they've been there! When I was a kid I worked in a Vietnamese restaurant and fell in love with the cha gios that the owner/ cook made. I spent years trying to find a place that makes them similar to she did and Mai's is the only place I've found. I would go there just for those, they're amazing. Also check out their chicken clay pot, it is AWESOME!!! I just ate lunch and talking about this is making me hungry again

Kaylee,

You are right, Jimmy's Market is awesome... Great sandwiches and great environment...

Next door, there is a place called Urbano Cafe - they have amazing food, not what you would expect from such a small place...
