As a side note, I have noticed that Asian women don't seem to use tampons. I was talking to a Thai lady that I have seen for some time and she had never heard or seen a tampon. The subject came up because she said she could not go swimming because of that time of the month. Is it a cultural thing? I visited a Chinese Lady last week for massage (and a little touchy feely) and she too had this massive pad below.
