Hot Springs and Little Rock

Hi there, excited to be back. I was wondering if there is anywhere to actually get in the hot spring water, maybe an area in a national park or something.

Any recommendations for dining or nightlife in Little Rock?

One of the bathhouses is still open. Don't remember which one though
Only one? That makes me sad.

Although it has been several years the Arlington used to have a bathhouse

People quit believing in the therapeutic power of bathing. It was sad to see Bathhouse Row close down. Like some have said there are at least a couple of places open again. There are a couple of spigots where you can fill jugs with water to drink. One is by the Nat'l Park Visitor Center. The water is so hot, it has to be cooled before bathing.

This was not a hot spring, but a cold water springs in Hot Springs. I always loved to see that building, especially the Indian head.

As far as getting in, you have the 2 bathhouses, Buckstaff and Quapaw, and the Hotel Hale (in the old Hale bathhouse) also uses the hot spring water for its in-room baths, I believe. You can dip your feet or hands in several pools in the National Park, mainly the ones on Arlington Lawn across from the Arlington Hotel, but I wouldn't advise going all in.

There are also several places in the National Park to get water from the springs. One fountain in Hill Wheatley Plaza (where most folks fill large jugs), one by Bruce Westerman's office on the South end of the Promenade, one on Fountain Street near the exit to the mountain tower drive, one on Whittington Ave North of West Mountain Drive, probably some others as well.

Would love to play tour guide if you are ever in town and schedules align. ;-)

Turned off Central Ave and went uphill past the Army-Navy Hospital. The town has changed a lot.

last I was there you could get rooms in The Arlington that had hot spring water on tap for the in-room bath. Was about 3 years ago tho.
