Hi there, excited to be back. I was wondering if there is anywhere to actually get in the hot spring water, maybe an area in a national park or something.
Any recommendations for dining or nightlife in Little Rock?
This was not a hot spring, but a cold water springs in Hot Springs. I always loved to see that building, especially the Indian head.Interesting article Tuck. It’s a shame that the building hasn’t been repurposed for something useful while maintaining it’s original mystique.

You can dip your feet or hands in several pools in the National Park, mainly the ones on Arlington Lawn across from the Arlington Hotel, but I wouldn't advise going all in.I think Fountain St & Whittington Ave are cold water springs. Maybe there was one up on West Man also. When I lived there, I would get water from them all. I could mix up the jugs and tell which spring they came from by the flavor. There was a hot water fountain up near what I think was the old venereal disease clinic. Can't remember name of street now. Turned off Central Ave and went uphill past the Army-Navy Hospital. The town has changed a lot.
There are also several places in the National Park to get water from the springs. One fountain in Hill Wheatley Plaza (where most folks fill large jugs), one by Bruce Westerman's office on the South end of the Promenade, one on Fountain Street near the exit to the mountain tower drive, one on Whittington Ave North of West Mountain Drive, probably some others as well.
Would love to play tour guide if you are ever in town and schedules align. ;-) Originally Posted by jmgorilla
