Why suddenly do I get pop-ups every time I click on a link when I am SIGNED IN? I can understand this if I am just browsing without signing in or as an incentive for lurkers to join. What "UPGRADE" facilitated the disgusting pop-ups?

It's been there for awhile. Sometimes someone purchased an ad, when hey do you see the ad. Sometimes no one buys and ad, and you get the link you wanted.
There were many threads about the pop up 2-3 years ago.
For me it not that big of a deal. I know if I get it once it will be there the next link I click. I just click the back button and I get the thread I want.
