How do I find out.....

How do I find out if there will be conventions or festivals before I arrive? The reason I ask the hotels sell out so quickly and sometimes it looks like nothing is going on when there really is. If anyone has any ideas that would help that would be great! See you guys soon!!!

The below link should contain all the large NOLA festivals that attract out of towners:

Though there are also some large local events that aren't on there which shouldn't affect affect hotel prices much (New Orleans Saints Games, Mid-Summer Mardi Gras, etc.)

First one is calendar of events for NOLA

Second lists city specidic vistors bureaus and typical they will have a calendar of events tab.
