Sexual Addiction

Fast Gunn's Avatar
Do you consider yourself a sex addict?

There is a new movie called Shame that comes out today, Dec 2nd that deals with this issue.

Newsweek magazine also ran a cover story and while there are no hard numbers, the estimates range up to 9 million people afflicted with this malady.

I wonder how many of those addicts are on this board?

I wouldn't consider someone an addict unless they put sex above all else including their well being. Or if they only work so they can have sex. In other words if you only live for sex then you're an addict lol.

I am definately not. Now excuse me if I hit the Black jack tables I might have enough to fuck that new provider in town. Maybe I can sell my TV. Fuck no I don't have a problem with sex. It's the rest of you sickos that do.
Nope. Definitely not.
I am retired. Have no worries. But I do work part time so I can visit a certain lady. See her every week. And every time is a new experience.

Yes...per the definition
I'm not gonna lose my house and car or start pawning my belongings to hobby, but I'm addicted to pussy. Since I had my first hit at the age of 15 all I ever wanted was more pussy. I think women are the most lovely beings in creation. A beautiful woman is like a living work of art to me. I love sex. I love everything about it. The foreplay, flirting, being teased, porn, you name it. Sex and sexuality is a beautiful thing. If everyone around the world would relax and truly enjoy each others bodies maybe the world wouldn't be so fucked up.
No. My spending so much time and money on my ATF does no harm to the rest of my life's activities. While I am old enough to retire, I still work, and I guess I am at the peak of my earning ability.

I'm having fun. Isn't that why we all work so damned hard, to have enough discretionary cash to have fun?

If you want to see an example of what sex addiction can do, go rent the movie Autofocus. It's about Bob Crane of Hogan's Heroes. Sad.

I have done alot of hobbying. It just doesn't have the pull it used to. You hear so many of the same lame things from alot of providers and I'm sure it's because of the lame shit we do. I hobby maybe once or twice a month now and really am having way more sex in the real world. I still see that provider once in a while that really gets me going. No sex addiction here.

I am still saving money, but yes this has definitely changed my live, and I spend much less time on other things. I have pulled away from the Hobby quite a bit because I do not like the feeling that it controls my life.

I think a lot of it has to do with hormonal impulses that can be uncontrollable during youth.

When these hormones first kick in, it's like your body is suddenly blasting off on autopilot, but you're so caught up in the emotions that you don't even realize it as happens to teenagers.

It amazes me that we even made it through those turbulent years!

The adults who have this disease use it as drug addicts do to avoid having to deal with the harsh reality of life, but that never works for long.

. . . If you continue on that road you will soon you crash and burn!
I can stop anytime I want!

But why would I want to?

Okay, in all seriousness (because it is a serious issue for a lot of people), I love sex and would never want to live without it, but thankfully I'm not compulsive about it.

there is no "might", I am.
Like Carrie, I'm not an addict. I can quit anytime I want. I've done it a hundred times. Sometimes, I've quit the night before.

Seriously, I'm not an addict. I've gone without months on end, even years.

But I think of it like a vacation. It may not happen every year, or even every few months like legal holidays. But it does come along. Yeah!!!!
