I normally see ham fisted BP posts by LE that I KNOW are LE. Sure enough, wait a few hours, while the sting is still going, you can see people who get booked in for other crimes or just not being local for related crimes. I have posted this sort of activity in the past and just get asked for more specifics yet the rules hamstring me. So I get "this isn't an alert" Run down the BP ads, google numbers, look for to good to be true ads, check booking reports, etc...
The last sting was Merriam and Mission police. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if they had Feds using Homeland security money as when I had a Pv on an DUI, they sent out a KDOC officer to pick me up in car that I wasn't sure would make it to Gardner, along with two US marshal's driving a Escalade.

Yes they do get a Government Grant to run the sting operations.
that's why all the citys in the area jump on the band wagon..
there is a head count they also shot for.
Kansas post's their stings on the news
while Missouri doesn't that much.
they want the guys to plead to the crime and pay the 1000 to 1500 fine.
cast to the city baby...
US marshal's driving a Escalade, they have the right to go anywhere in the state.
they override the city police dept and county.
