My favorite song writer died this week. Guy Clark was the poet of our time, so many of his songs paralled my life. I met him a few times, always gracious. With all the greats that have passed on this year this one hit me the most. RIP Guy Clark

I was lucky enough to see Guy at the Stafford Center a few years ago. RIP Guy Clark.

....now re-united with Sinbad, the elevator man in a cheap hotel...before his mind got cluttered by white port wine.
Guy was pretty grumpy sometimes, and Townes was downright grouchy..but when they got together they became good, sociable company. Why they moved to Nashville has always been a mystery to me.
I'd say R.I.P. but won't because I'm pretty sure them boys aren't interested in resting any kinda way for a while.
