This is directed to the people who seem to RTM every post with the word whore in it.

Definition of the word: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/whore

There is no rule that prevents the use of thIs word to describe a lady who sells her body for money. Some think it is indelicate, but it is no different than calling her a prostitute, escort, hooker, or lady of the night.

The only case where it would not be acceptable on an adult-themed board such as ECCIE is when it is directed in a derogatory tirade to a particular person.

So it's not that we don't read every RTM, but not everything is actionable.

I don't know who you are, but have read several of your posts and you are funny as hell!
lol really funny in the Bible belt.
The Bible is the supposed word of God.
He uses it 20 times in the 2 books of the holy bible.
Guess these peeps think they are better
Were most of these RTMs coming from a cross-section of providers, or just a handful of accounts known primarily for their fights with one particular frequent user of said word?

It's a shame I'll probably never get an answer to that question.

Some people are just universally disliked, discounting a couple of sycophants that like to kiss ass. Maybe that's whispers, maybe it's not..

It must be a slow day for topics.

Why would anyone RTM for that reason? The mods have decided it is OK, so whether you like it or not, move on.

Yes, regardless of whether the mods see it that way or not, it IS a derogatory term as used in the bible, in common speech, and by most folks obsessed with it on here, but that is the "supreme court" decision. It is a waste of time to keep bringing it up to the mods.

(And yes, this does mean I am not one of those who RTM'd it).

The folks using it here are just showing their Beavis & Butthead side.

The best example of that? WinnD's "clever" preteen post.

Zonk, thanks so much for bringing this to light. I understand your rationale, but disagree. Although the word whore is in the dictionary, along with prostitute, hooker, etc., it’s not the fact that these are actual words, it’s the context in which they are used. They are almost always used to express disrespect toward the women here. Guideline #3 advises against disrespect IN GENERAL. I’m sure you’re familiar with that guideline, but you’re not enforcing it with any action. This is why so many providers I meet refer to eccie as icky.
The sky is Blue.
It would be silly to call it Azure, Cyan, Cobalt, Navy, or Indigo. Provider, Hooker, Prostitute, Call girl, Lady of the night, Courtesan are just synonyms of a word Whore. How does it make them better if the intent and meaning are the same. Are they all not accepting money for sex?

The question is, considering where we are, why is it necessary?

No correct. MODs did not make the decision the word whore was OK..... That came down from a higher and more exclusive level...
